Lincoln Prairie Press December 1, 2017
What a beautiful day! Not only is the sun shining outside but things are FANTASTIC inside as well.
This morning our December Whole School Meeting showcased the learning taking place from 4/5’s study of the Chicago Fire, as well as a cheer routine by our LP Cheerleaders. Recognitions included our support staff, our Patrol Of The Month, students receiving Keys of Excellence, and students completing Happiness challenges and more! We could not have been prouder to see all the joy experienced during this month’s meeting! Next month’s meeting will be an “un–meeting.” We will not meet as a whole school in the gym, but will be meeting in Neighborhood Groups in classrooms. Parents are still invited to come enjoy the focus on the Keys of Excellence, our Happiness Habits and some fun neighborhood games! We hope to see you on Friday, January 12th from 11:40-12:20pm.
We wanted to share some sad news with the parent community as well. We shared this information with 4th-8thgrade students but have had several inquiries from parents this past week. Mr. Joe Yeager, a long time Lincoln Prairie substitute teacher passed away suddenly over the Thanksgiving weekend. He was a beautiful human being and a committed educator to the students here at school. He will truly be missed.
Please take time to read through this week’s LP Press December 1, 2017.pdf . We have several time sensitive pieces of information included you will not want to miss.
We hope to see you again soon,
Amanda Stochl & Carol Novak
