Lincoln Prairie Weekly Update October 26

Good afternoon,

We have spent a good amount of time this week immersed in conversations around challenging our students to think critically and explore their curiosities. If you recall, we presented our District Strategic Focus areas during Curriculum Nights which included supporting our students through various engagement and innovation opportunities. We kicked off our EXPO planning (more info to come) Wednesday afternoon and spent another couple days processing what innovative practices could look like at our school and for our children. We are in a time where taking risks and embracing ideas that empower children is welcomed and INSPIRES us! We look forward to future conversations and trainings that equip us to take our students to a higher level. What inspires you when it comes to your child’s education?

Upcoming Author Visit

Our 2-8 grade students will be hearing from a former Lincoln Prairie teacher and recent author, Mrs. Sutton. Patricia Sutton’s time with us will showcase her recent publication, as well as some classroom centered writing lessons. We are honored to be her first school visit and look forward to hosting her. If you or your child would like to purchase a book ahead of time AND receive it signed, you can preorder it by clicking here for an order form. It is a very quick turnaround, so please order this weekend, if you are interested.
