Lincoln Prairie Weekly Update November 2
We LOVE Halloween and all it brings at Lincoln Prairie. For years we have embraced the idea that celebrations can look different and should look different based on the vast age span in our school. Our Middle Level Halloween Gym Jam was a huge success last Friday night. Our 6th-8th grade students came for a frightfully good time as they hung out and played games together- with and without costume. Our K-3 students enjoyed dressing up and all the fun that came with their classroom parties. While our 4/5 students showcased the culmination of the study of famous Americans in history through their Wax Museum. Parents, staff and other students listened to the famous Americans come to life through their rehearsed monologues. Earlier in the week, I had the pleasure of catching a dry run of Susan B. Anthony’s presentation. The student’s understanding of her famous American, the facts she decided to showcase, along with her ability to speak for several minutes in character, truly inspired me! What inspires you about your child’s abilities?
We are looking forward to hosting our Grandparents this Thursday, November 8th at 11:00am. Thank you for completing the sign up. We are prepared to welcome our guests next week.
