Lincoln Prairie Weekly Update November 30

Good Morning,

We have been quite pleased with the amount of communication that students have been engaging with various staff members via email this year. We have found this to be a beneficial way to support students’ needs and questions. In an effort to increase our face to face communication with our Middle Level students, we will be meeting with them later this morning in the first ever Principal Roundtable! Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about things that pertain to our school, district and beyond! We are looking forward to reflecting on their questions as it will certainly provide us with information about what could be communicated in a clearer way, as well as what matters most to our students. A summary will be emailed to Middle Level parents next week.

Please check out this week’s Parent Teacher Student Association Newsletter by clicking here for important information.

Barnes & Noble/ Fuddruckers Fundraising Event – Dec 7th

We will host our 2nd Annual Fundraising event to support Lincoln Prairie Book Clubs. Last year, we found it a wonderful evening to shop, eat and hang out with other Lincoln Prairie families. Please see the linked flyers below for more information. We look forward to seeing you at next week’s event!

Report Cards Posted Online

Parents/guardians were able to view report cards online this semester on Nov. 21. I want to ensure that all of our parents have taken the time to review their child’s report card. Please contact your child’s teacher should you have any questions or concerns.

5Essentials Survey Update

In a newsletter last month, I included a letter asking you to take the Illinois State Board of Education’s 5Essentials Survey for parents and sharing with you our plans to administer the student survey at school. Please note that since that time, Illinois has changed the date for the student survey, which won’t be available until Dec. 11. It is still our plan to complete the survey at school prior to winter break. If you do not want your child to participate, please contact me by Dec 7. The parent survey will be available online through Feb. 15 2019, by clicking here.

Have a wonderful weekend!
