Dear Lincoln Prairie community,

Happy Friday!  Please join us in complimenting your children and our teachers on all their patience, creativity and practice as they embarked on this new realm of teaching and learning. While only a few days in, they are all committed to learning and growing in this new learning model together. Whether your children are learning remotely or through the hybrid model, they are having an adjustment. Thank YOU for reinforcing patience and confidence. We will continue to problem solve to ensure the best possible experience for our students.

We LOVE celebrating Halloween at Lincoln Prairie. Hopefully many of you are planning on participating in some of the Parent Teacher Student Association Fall Fest activities this weekend. We will be celebrating Halloween on Wednesday, October 28th. We welcome students to wear costumes or the colors orange and black during the day to celebrate. Please post on our Lincoln Prairie community Padlet by clicking here. With this Padlet we can experience together all the creativity and fun Halloween has to offer.

An update – students are doing a nice job wearing their face masks and practicing social distancing inside and outside of school. We will continue to practice both skills and provide reminders and opportunities to practice.  Please note, face masks must completely cover the mouth and nose while fitting snugly against the side of the face.  Bandanas, neck gaiters and face masks with exhalation valves or vents are not acceptable alternatives to face masks.

Remote Students – We will be holding Trimester 2 Material Pick Up on Tuesday, October 27th from 4-6 p.m. Please pull into the Lincoln Prairie driveway at this time with a sign detailing your children’s first and last name. From there, we will bring you the appropriate grade level bags with your child’s instructional materials for Trimester 2.

In Person Students -We will be passing out Trimester 2 Materials to in person students on either Thursday, October 29th or Friday, October 30th depending on their group placement. Students will be provided an additional bag to carry these materials and will not need to transport everything to and from school each day. Please anticipate more communication from your child’s classroom teacher in regards to the materials they should bring daily.
