Doors 1 (Main Entrance) and Door 7 (Parent Pick Up) will be the only enter/exit doors open during arrival and dismissal. This will ensure students and entryways can be monitored fully during these busy times of day.
Please be patient with the District 54 Transportation Department. Bus timing the first couple weeks of school is longer than usual. They are working with First Student to ensure it gets better.
Parent Drop Off - Parent’s dropping off students will park on the North side of Hillcrest Blvd. The students will walk up the path, pass the park and enter through Door 7.
Families that live within walking distance from school, you are welcome to pick up your child outside Door 7 or at the park.
Door 3 (behind the school), is no longer an entrance point. If families live behind the school, students will simply walk up the path and around to the front of the school. They can enter through Door 1 or Door 7.
As a community, we are no longer using the neighborhood behind school as a means to drop off or pick up students
by car
. This has been a long time inconvenience for our neighbors and we urge you to comply with our request.
A reminder . . . all K/1 families picking up their child at the end of the day, should walk up to Door 7 to get your child. They will be standing with a staff member until you walk up to get them.
For the First Day of School and the First Day of Kindergarten, parents are welcome to walk their child to class, but MUST enter in Door 1.
