Our office is a very busy place at the end of the school day. We have students coming in and out with end of day tasks, teachers calling with questions, and the transportation department sending messages. During this time we are also getting a considerable amount of phone calls from many of you and sometimes daily. These requests to get reminder messages to your child come at a cost. Our secretaries are looking up room assignments, calling into rooms and discussing your messages with the teacher, who is then relaying the messages with your child, all during the last 10 minutes of the day.
We kindly ask that if you have to make different arrangements, that you tell your child in the morning, email their homeroom teacher and include our secretaries as well. Please do not call our school office to ask us to also send a reminder to your child. If you need to change the dismissal plan for the day due to an emergency, you are, of course, welcome to call. Because those situations are few and far between, we know this will not cause additional issues.
