One of the highlights of PDT over the past few weeks has taken place in the 2/3 classrooms. Parents have been invited in to share information from the various cultures they represent. Students have learned and experienced traditions from a variety of countries. These experiences couldn’t be replicated by watching videos or even reading about them in books.  We so appreciate the time and care these parents have taken to share with our students.

Now that we’ve settled into the school year and have a better idea of our schedules and the flow of our weeks, we’d like to remind parents of the value we place on having parents participate, contribute throughout the school day and help at events. We know that our school culture is built on relationships and that it takes all of us working together to foster the type of environment that welcomes people, gives everyone a place to contribute and IS one of the reasons you chose LP for your school home!

If you haven’t been able to volunteer YET, now is the time to find a way. We have a few opportunities coming up that are mentioned in the PTSA President's Note, and will in the weeks to come, or simply reach out to your child’s classroom teacher and share how you’d like to help. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Have a wonderful weekend!
