We were honored to host two very special occasions this week. On Thursday, the Illinois State Superintendent, Dr. Tony Sanders, along with a group of others visited District 54 here at Lincoln Prairie School. Our Superintendent, Andy DuRoss shared and celebrated district accomplishments and used our school as the backdrop to highlight the amazing things that take place within our community. To say that the group was impressed was an understatement. They also spent time in classrooms and talking with four of our 8th graders.
Then, today, we welcomed our entire community back together for our first Whole School Meeting of the year! Our inaugural WSM in the gym was a definite highlight of the week and a tradition that will connect us each month as we engage in what’s happening at LP! If you weren’t able to join us, we will send out the video to view the meeting next week.
Have a wonderful weekend!
